The second round of the open football tournament organized by the Shilasthan Youth Club has been postponed due to the upcoming House of Representatives elections. According to club president Hikmat Malasi, preparations are underway to hold the tournament from Chaitra 20.
The organizers have clarified through a press conference that they could not hold the tournament on the predetermined date and will hold the tournament immediately after the elections are over.
The Doti Gold Cup, known as the largest prize money tournament in Doti district, is considered important for local sports development. The winning team in the tournament will receive a trophy and certificate along with a cash prize of Rs 150,000, while the runner-up team will receive a trophy and certificate along with a cash prize of Rs 80,000.
It is believed that such tournaments will play an important role in expanding sports activities at the local level, identifying youth talent, and developing sports culture in the community.
