Radiant Public, Ribs and Swarnim have emerged champions in basketball under the 12th Excelsior Cup. Radiant Senior Boys, Ribs Senior Girls and Swarnim U-12 Girls were the winners.

Radiant defeated Rarahill 58-43 in the senior boys final on Friday at the court of the host The Excelsior School. Radiant's Susanraj Neupane scored 27 points.

In the senior girls title clash, Ribs defeated Excelsior 22-6. Ribs' Supriya Malla scored 8 points.

In the U-12 girls final, Swarnim defeated Chandbagh 4-2. Swarnim's Palistha Hada scored 2 points. This category is included in the Excelsior Cup for the first time.

The top scorers of the final, Susan, Supriya and Palistha, were declared the 'Most Valuable Players'. Oracle Ray was selected for the senior boys, Whitefield for the senior girls and Euro School for the U-12 girls.

Kasthamandap wins double title in futsal

Kasthamandap School has won double title in boys futsal under Excelsior Cup. Kasthamandap won the title in U-9 and U-13 age groups. In the U-9 final, Kasthamandap defeated Excelsior by 2-1 goals. Both goals for Kasthamandap were scored by Anay Regmi. Excelsior's Arav Gautam scored 1 goal.

In the U-13 final, Kasthamandap defeated Excelsior by 2-1 goals. Sujaswin Ojha and Samyam Budhathoki scored goals. Excelsior's Tenzing Gole Tamang scored one goal. John Deby won the title in U-11. John Deby defeated Kasthamandap by 3-1 goals, while Ronish Khadka scored 2 and Pranam Bhandari scored 1 goal. Kasthamandap's Shivankraj Bhattarai scored 1 goal.

New Era Academy defeated Ribs 2-1 to win the U-16 title. Ayush Baram of New Era scored 1 goal. 1 goal was an own goal.

Kasthamandap's Anay Regmi, John Deby's Pranam Bhandari, Excelsior's Tenzing Gole Tamang and New Era's Pemba Tamang were declared the best players in their respective categories.

Kasthamandap's Akshay Poudel, John Deby's Melvin Lama, Kasthamandap's Saurya Gautam and New Era's Subarina Tamang were named the best goalkeepers in their respective categories. Kohinoor, Anmol Jyoti, Baladiksha Sadan and White Haven Academy were declared the emerging teams in their respective categories. 56 teams competed in four age groups on a league-cum-knockout basis.

The winners were felicitated by former MP Geeta Chhetri, Excelsior's chairperson Sheeta Rana and others.
