The home team Rupandehi has entered the finals of the Prime Minister's Cup Extreme Energy Drink Lumbini Provincial Level Men's One-Day Selection Tournament being held here.

Rupandehi reached the final with a comprehensive 102-run win over Dang on Thursday. 

Rupandehi defeated Dang by 102 runs in the match played at the Siddhartha Cricket Ground in Bhairahawa. Rupandehi, who won the toss and elected to bat, scored 191 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the match shortened to 27 overs due to weather. For Rupandehi, Akash Tripathi scored 43, Dipesh Rokka scored 40, Dev Khanal scored 33, Krishna Karki scored 28 and Santosh Yadav scored 18 runs. 

Dang's Bir Bahadur Gharti, Dinesh Bohara and Kisan Bharti took 2 wickets each and Shubham Khanal took 1 wicket. In reply, Dang was all out for 89 runs in 24 overs. Rupandehi's Mausam Dhakal took 3, Ajay Chauhan took 2 and Sandesh Thapa, Krishna Karki and Dev Khanal took 1 wicket each. Dang's Dinesh Bohara scored the highest 29 runs.

Nawalparasi wins

Nawalparasi defeated Palpa by 105 runs in the match held at the Extratech Oval ground in Tilottama. Batting first, Nawalparasi scored 215 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 25 overs. In reply, Palpa was all out in 18 overs and was bundled out for 110 runs.

Teams from 7 districts of Lumbini Province are participating in the competition that will continue till Magh 24. The winner and runner-up teams of the qualifying match will receive trophies, medals and certificates. Similarly, the player of the match will receive 11,111 rupees and the man of the match of each day will receive 1,100 rupees, said the game coordinator Pratham Parajuli.
