Canada is captained by Dilpreet Bajwa, who has yet to captain in an official match. The team has three former captains: Saad bin Jaffer, Nicholas Kirtan and Navneet Dhaliwal. Jaffer and Kirtan had previously played Nepal Premier League cricket in Kathmandu.
Canada lost to Italy by 10 runs in their first warm-up match in Chennai. Canada will start the Twenty20 World Cup by playing against South Africa in Ahmedabad on Monday.
