Buddha Secondary School Hattisudhe has won the title of the Bakaiya Rural Municipality-level President's Running Shield competition in Makawanpur.
In the competition held at the playground of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-5 Karmaprati Secondary School, Buddha Secondary School won 15 gold medals and came first. It received 50,000 rupees along with a running shield.
In the competition jointly organized by the Bakaiya Sports Development Committee and the rural municipality, Janak Secondary School Bhirkot came second after winning 14 gold medals and received 30,000 rupees in cash. Karmaprati Secondary School came third after winning 6 gold medals. Karmaprati Secondary School received 20,000 rupees.
Durga Chepang and Sambhav Majhi were selected as the best players for the girls and boys in the competition, which was held from Monday. 300 students from 11 schools participated in the competition. The winning players and school heads were awarded by Bakaiya-5 Ward President Laxmi Jimba and Ward President No. 7 Ramesh Tamang.
