All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Vice President Deepak Khatiwada strongly criticized the leadership at a press conference on Monday.

He accused President Pankaj Nembang and General Secretary Kiran Rai of acting against the ANFA statute and said that Nepali football was heading towards the risk of accidents. He claimed that the ANFA leadership was arrogant.

He also said that although he had been continuously providing constructive support and suggestions to the ANFA leadership, they had ignored it. He also opposed the ANFA early election process. Vice President Khatiwada argued that even if elections were to be held according to the ANFA statute, district elections should be held first and only then elections at the center would be possible.

Vice President Khatiwada also accused the current leadership of ignoring the decision of the latest regular general meeting of ANFA held in Dhulikhel. He also said that a serious situation could arise if the court had already ordered a halt to the ANFA election process. He further alleged that personal interests are rampant within ANFA.
