Koshi Province is going to provide scholarships to 3 cricket players.

The Koshi Provincial Cricket Association is providing this scholarship with the financial support of Yashwant Subedi, who played international cricket in the age group from Nepal.

Koshi Provincial Cricket Association President Sarbajit Raj Pandey said that an agreement has been reached to provide Rs 3,000 per month to the two best male and female players who have played in the senior national tournament and Rs 2,000 per month to the players in the emerging age group. Pandey said that a 3-member selection committee will be formed for that.

For this, a 2-year agreement has been signed between Koshi Provincial Cricket Association President Pandey and former international player Subedi. Koshi Provincial Cricket Association President Pandey said that this opportunity will be provided to players who are not under contract with CAN and outside the province.

‘I myself played international tournaments in the age group representing this region, so I know how important it is, players have to work hard,’ Yashwant said after the agreement, ‘This is not a big amount, it is an incentive amount. Its main objective is to support, encourage and inspire emerging talent.’

Yashwant, who currently lives in Australia, played three ICC U-19 World Cups for Nepal in 2002, 2004 and 2006.
