Hugo Ekiti scored twice for Liverpool at Anfield.

The win moved Liverpool up to fifth on 39 points. Newcastle are in tenth place on 33. Earlier, Arsenal extended their lead at the top to seven points with a 4-0 win over Leeds United.

Chelsea also beat West Ham 3-2 to move up to fourth on 40 points. In other matches, Bournemouth beat Wolves 2-0 while Brighton and Everton drew 1-1.
