New Diamond Sports Club has won the women's title of the Ncell 6th Tiger Cup National and International Invitational Club Championship, defeating departmental team Nepal Police Club.

New Diamond defeated Police in straight sets 3-0 in the final match held on Friday at the volleyball court at Pokhara Stadium to clinch the title. New Diamond won the first set 25-11, the second set 25-22 and the third set 25-16.

New Diamond, who became the champion, received Rs 666,666, while the runner-up Police received Rs 366,666. Thailand Queens, who came in third, received Rs 266,666.

Sumitra Regmi of New Diamond was declared the best player of the tournament. She received Rs 26,666. The best players by category were server Pratibha Mali, libero Shantikala Tamang, setter Pragati Nath, blocker Sunita Khatri and spiker Pataiya. Coach Kumar Rai was named the best coach. They each received Rs 11,666.

The final match of the men's group stage is being played between Parbat District Volleyball Association and Gandaki Province. The result of this match will decide the team that will reach the final. Currently, Police has 10 points from 5 matches in the points table, while Gandaki and Parbat, who have played 4 matches, have 9 points each.

The team that scores 3 points in Friday's match will directly advance to the final, while if the match extends to the fifth set, the final team will be decided based on set count. The men's final match will be played on Saturday. 6 teams participated in the competition organized by Tiger Group of Pokhara Nepal for men and 5 teams participated in the women's match.
