In the second day of the quarterfinal match of the Naradmuni Thulung Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament held at Basaha, Udayapur, Salhesh Youth Club Siraha defeated Damak Football Academy Jhapa by 4 goals to 1 today.

Within a minute of the game, Vicky Chamling Rai, jersey number 10 of Salhesh, scored the first goal. In the 18th minute, Pepe, foreign player, jersey number 15, scored. In the 50th minute, Sunil Khadka, jersey number 11, and in the 57th minute, Rajesh Dahal, jersey number 9, scored. In the 23rd minute, Kismat Limbu, jersey number 16, scored the only goal for Damak Football Academy. After all subsequent attempts failed, Jhapa had to settle for one goal, while Siraha advanced to victory with a wide margin of four goals.

Tomorrow's match will be between New Triyuga Sports Club Saptari and Nepal Sports Club Rautahat. Today's Man of the Match is Asim Rai of Salhesh. He was awarded 5,000 in cash and a trophy.
