The National League Football tournament saw its first hat-trick on Thursday. The hero of this performance was Milan Rai.

Inspired by his performance, Church Boys United defeated Nava Janajagruti Yuva 6-1. Milan scored for Church Boys in the 20th, 41st and 61st minutes in the match held at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato. Coincidentally, his third and hat-trick goal was also the 100th goal of the tournament.

Church Boys took the lead in the third minute through Abayoni Fakunle. When the game reached the eighth minute, Eric Bista added a second goal and the competition turned completely one-sided in favor of Church Boys. Fakunle also completed his second goal in the 31st minute. Jonathan Boyer scored a goal for Nava Janajagruti in the 81st minute. This was nothing more than consolation for the team. Church Boys have 7 points after their second consecutive win. Nava Janajagruti remained without points after their fourth consecutive loss.

In the first match on Thursday, NRT defeated Sankata 3-1. The match between the two historically traditional rivals was somewhat tense and both teams were reduced to 10 men at the end of the match. NRT lost Taye Daniel to a second yellow card in the 24th minute. Sankata's Timothy Chimeri was sent off in the 86th minute after receiving a double yellow card.

NRT took the lead in the 11th minute through captain Kritisharatna Chunju. NRT went two goals ahead after Wendapanga scored an own goal in the 51st minute. Krishna Bahadur Aal pulled one back for Sankata in the 56th minute. But Timothy Chimeri scored the third goal for NRT in the 67th minute to seal the victory. NRT has 12 points after its fourth consecutive win. Sankata is limited to 5 points with its second consecutive defeat.
