Defending champion hosts Ferryland School 'A' and Angels Heart emerged champions in the Simon Memorial 2nd Ferryland Inter-School Basketball Tournament on Friday. Ferryland emerged champions in the junior girls' and Angels Heart junior boys' categories.

In the junior boys' title clash, Angels Heart defeated JB School 20-16 with Saurabh Shrestha's 8 points. Ferryland finished third.
The top scorers of the final, Saurabh and Sandeepa, were declared the Most Valuable Players in their respective categories. In the junior boys' category, Mingmar Tamang of Ferryland and in the junior girls' category, Sonimaya Tamang of Valley Public were adjudged the best three-pointer. In the junior boys' category, Hari Magar of JB School and in the junior girls' category, Karuna Bogati of Ferryland became the top scorers of the tournament.
In the junior boys' category, Basundhara National Academy (BNA) won the trophy for the disciplined team, while Himshila won the trophy for the junior girls' category. In the junior boys' category, Gyanbhoomi won the trophy for the junior boys' category, while Newton won the trophy for the emerging team.
The winners were awarded by Budhanilkantha Municipality Ward 10 Chairman Nawaraj Bhattarai, and Ferriland directors Binod Adhikari and Rajendra Devkota.
