New Zealand defeated India by 50 runs in the fourth Twenty20 International match on Wednesday. Despite losing the fourth match, India still won the series 3-1.

However, the fifth match is still to be played. India won the toss and elected to field first in the fourth match. Batting first, New Zealand scored 215 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. New Zealand's top order made an aggressive start. 

Devon Conway contributed 44 runs in 23 balls and Tim Seifert 62 runs in 36 balls in the first power play. New Zealand had completed 100 runs in 9 overs. 

The Indian team only then made a comeback and started taking wickets. Kuldeep Yadav took 2 wickets for 39 runs while Arshdeep Singh also took 2 wickets for 33 runs. 

Chasing a huge target of 216 runs, the Indian team lost Abhishek Sharma, captain Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya early on. Sanju Samson scored 24 runs in 15 balls and Rinku Singh scored 39 runs in 30 balls. Similarly, Shivam Dubey played an aggressive batting innings of 65 runs in just 23 balls. In which he hit seven sixes. 

He has also set the record for the third fastest half-century from an Indian team in Twenty20 Internationals. But after New Zealand bowlers took wickets at a crucial time, the Indian team was all out for 165 runs in 18.4 overs.
