The first Cambridge Cup Student Futsal Tournament organized by Cambridge Public High School began on Thursday. With the completion of 20 league matches on the first day, all teams have qualified for the pre-quarterfinals, said Cambridge's founding principal Rita Rai Dahal.
Nexus, Prasphutan, Noble Academy, AIA, Golden Peak, Galaxy Public, Jagat Mandir, Babylon, Host Cambridge, Riviera Academy, EPS, New Arunodaya, Elixir Academy, Peace Point, Gateway Academy and Gyanmala have secured their places in the pre-quarterfinals.
The tournament was inaugurated by Pankaj Bikram Nemwang, President of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
21 teams have participated in the tournament being held by host Cambridge. The top three teams will receive 30,000, 20,000 and 10,000 prizes respectively. The best player, best goalkeeper and highest scorer will also be awarded.
