The second Gyan Sanskar Inter-School Basketball Tournament, organized by Gyan Sanskar School, is starting on Friday.

Gyan Sanskar Vice Principal Sani Maharjan informed at a press conference on Thursday that 25 teams will participate in the boys' and 16 teams in the girls' section of the competition.

The winners of both groups will receive Rs 15,000 and the runners-up Rs 10,000, said Gyan Sanskar's administration chief Lalima Malakar. The Most Valuable Player, Highest Scorer and Best Three Pointer in each discipline will be awarded trophies.    

Gyan Sanskar teacher Puru Ghimire expressed confidence that the competition will generate special enthusiasm among school-level basketball enthusiasts. The games of the league-cum-knockout competition, which will run until Magh 26, will be played on the organizer's court.
