Excelsior and Ribs victorious
The hosts Excelsior and Ribs have started off with a victory in the senior girls' basketball under the 12th Excelsior Cup. Excelsior defeated Whitefield by a score of 14-7 while Akina Ghimire scored 12. Ribs defeated The Chandbagh School 22-12 with Supriya Malla's 12 points.
In the U-11 boys' futsal, Bodhivriksha defeated Bodhisattva 5-0, Life School defeated Bodhivriksha 11-0, and Excelsior (Blue) defeated Baladiksha Sadan 1-0. In the U-13 boys' futsal, Excelsior (Yellow) defeated Baladiksha 4-0, Ribs defeated Baladiksha 3-1, and Ribs defeated Baladiksha 4-2.
In the U-16 boys' futsal tournament, hosted by the organizers at Swayambhu, Bodhisattva defeated Sanskriti 3-0, and Excelsior (Yellow) defeated Baladiksha Sadan 1-0.
In the tournament, which will continue till Magh 23, 26 teams are participating in 3 categories of basketball and 56 teams in 4 categories of futsal.
