Pokharel-based team Laligurans Association Club registered its third consecutive win in the National Football League on Friday, maintaining its top spot with nine points.

Laligurans kept up their strong start in the league by beating Nepal Police Club 1-0 at the Dasharath Stadium. Ashish Chaudhary scored the decisive goal for Laligurans in the fourth minute of injury time of the second half as the game was heading towards a draw.

Laligurans have also kept clean sheets in two out of three matches. This is the second defeat in three matches for the weak Police. The team is limited to one point.

In another match held at the Dasharath Stadium, Satdobato Youth recorded their first win in the competition. The team defeated Manang Marsyangdi Club 1-0. Fode Fofana was the hero in giving Satdobato their first win. He scored the only goal in the 61st minute.

This win gives Satdobato 4 points. This is the third consecutive defeat for Manang, which has a history of being the most successful club in domestic football. Disappointingly, Manang is without points. After the matches so far, Kankre Bihar and Nav Janajagruti are also in a pointless situation. But the way Manang, the eight-time Martyrs' Memorial League 'A' Division winner, is playing now, it will be unacceptable for many. If the performance does not improve in the upcoming matches, Manang's journey may be even more difficult.

Earlier, in the match held at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Shree Bhagwati defeated Nav Janajagruti 5-1. This is also Bhagwati's first win. The team has 4 points. This is Nav Janajagruti's third consecutive defeat. Shishir Lekhi scored two goals for Bhagwati. He scored in the 38th and 42nd minutes. The first goal was possible from a penalty.

Bhagwati took the lead in the second minute through Ajayi Martins' goal. Subhash Bam scored the third goal for the team in the 42nd minute. This was the 50th goal of the tournament. Seemant Thapa scored the fourth goal in the 54th minute. Vikram Thokar scored a consolation goal for Nava Janajagruti in the 77th minute.
