Gandaki Province has secured its first win in the competition by defeating Maldives Volleyball Association in straight sets in the 6th Ncell Tiger Cup National and International Invitational Club Volleyball Championship.

In the men's match of the tournament organized by Tiger Group of Pokhara Nepal at Pokhara Stadium on Saturday, Gandaki defeated Maldives 3-0. Gandaki showed complete control by winning the first set 25-13, the second set 25-14 and the third set 25-21.

This is the first success of the tournament for Gandaki, who had lost to Armed Police Force (APF) in the first match on Friday in a set of 3-1. On the other hand, Maldives was forced to suffer defeat in the second consecutive match. Earlier, Maldives was defeated by Tribhuvan Army Club in a set of 3-0.

In the women's match held on Saturday itself, Nepal Police Club defeated Tribhuvan Army Club in a set of 3-1. In the other match on the women's side, APF thrillingly defeated Thailand Queens in a set of 3-2.

In the final match on Saturday, the competition between Nepal Police Club and Parbat Volleyball Association on the men's side continues.
