In the 4-kilometer race held on Saturday to mark the 74th International Customs Day, APF's Rupesh Karki emerged as the winner in the men's category, covering the distance in 15 minutes and 31 seconds.

In the women's category, Laxmi Khadka of the Army came first in 22 minutes and 29 seconds, Tara Kumari Giri of the APF came second in 23 minutes and 25 seconds and Rita Khadka came third in 25 minutes and 02 seconds.
The race started from the Customs Department in Tripureshwor and ended at the same location via Thapathali, Maitighar, Baneshwor, Tinkune. 150 competitors from the Army, Armed Police Force, Customs employees, Customs agents, Nepal Freight Forwarders Association, Nepal Customs Agents Association Kathmandu, Nepal Export Council Thamel and Nepal Courier Service Association participated.
The winner will be awarded with cash prizes at a special function to be held at the TU Customs Office on January 26 on the occasion of International Customs Day, said Homanath Dhamala, President of Nepal Customs Agents Association Kathmandu. The winner will receive Rs 25,000, the second will receive Rs 15,000 and the third will receive Rs 10,000. The competition was inaugurated by Bishnu Prasad Gyawali, Head of the Tribhuvan University Customs Office.
