Nepal Police Club made a winning start to the women's division on Saturday on the second day of the ongoing Ncell 6th Tiger Cup National and International Invitational Club Volleyball Championship at the Pokhara Stadium.

In the first match on Saturday, Police defeated Tribhuvan Army Club 3-1. While Police won the first set, Army suffered its second consecutive defeat. 

Army, which won the first set 25-16, could not control the following sets and was defeated. Police won the second set 25-17, the third set 25-22 and the fourth set 25-13. Police's Alisa Manandhar was declared the Player of the Match.

Six teams in the men's and five teams in the women's categories have participated in the championship organized by Tiger Group of Pokhara Nepal, which will last until 17 Magh. The top two teams in the single round-robin competition will compete for the title.
