2024 rated Prakash Chandra defeated Agraham Sainju, Binay Rai, Suraj Singh, Subhan Deep and Prem Khadka.

In the competition organized by Kathmandu Metropolitan City-29, 2069 rated Ashish Phuyal defeated Nelisa Ojha, Ashnarayan Lavat, Maheshworlal Dangol, Sparsh Yadav and Sujan Kafle.
KMC 29 Ward Chairman Kush Dhakal informed that the highest cash prize of 328 thousand will be given in the two-day competition. According to coordinator Santosh Dhungel, the winning player will receive 35 thousand, the second will receive 30 thousand, the third will receive 25 thousand, and the fourth will receive 20 thousand.
Similarly, the players who come from fifth to seventh place will receive 17 thousand each. Players finishing eighth to tenth will receive Rs 15,000 each, while those finishing eleventh to fifteenth will receive Rs 7,000 each. The best in each category will also receive awards.
