What you should know

The way Church Boys lost by a huge margin to APF in the National League Football on Thursday, it was like surrendering to a losing team.

Looking at the Church Boys team, it seems that it is difficult to find such a team in Nepali domestic football. APF's performance against this team was strategically excellent. APF played carefully against the Martyrs' Memorial League 'A' Division champion, emphasizing 'counter' attacks.

Church Boys' midfield was in disarray. Yuvraj Khadka scored two goals for APF in the match held at Chyasal Stadium. He scored in the 60th and 77th minutes. Before that, Samraj Thokar scored in the 22nd and Pradeep Lama scored in the 38th minute in the first half. Milan Rai scored a goal for Church Boys in the 82nd minute. This is APF's second consecutive win. The team has 6 points. Church Boys, on the other hand, was limited to one point from 2 games.

Even after so many wins, APF coach Rajendra Tamang did not want to believe that his team is in the title race. He said, ‘Even now, I say, our goal is only the top four. The team’s performance will improve in the coming days. But now other teams will also gradually catch up.’

On the other hand, Church Boys’ assistant coach Ramesh Dangal admitted that Church Boys are currently looking good only in the field, the players the team trusts are not able to play. APF coach Tamang also raised questions about the Chyasal field. Due to this almost grassless field, 6-7 APF players have suffered minor injuries.

NRT’s easy win
