South Asian Games (SAG) silver medalist Manju Tuladhar Shrestha passed away on Monday.

She died at 11 am on Monday after suffering a brain stroke a month ago at Annapurna Neuro Hospital. Her family members said that she had been receiving treatment in the ICU on a ventilator for the past few days.

Manju is a national taekwondo player. She won silver at the 8th South Asian Games held in Nepal in 1999. Born and raised near Dasharath Stadium, Manju was also the then national champion.

Manju, who lost her husband Kshitij Arun Shrestha seven months ago, was in mourning. Shrestha, the founding chairman of the Nepal Olympic Museum, passed away on Ashad 20. Manju was also the founding treasurer of the museum.
