Senegal stunned hosts Morocco 1-0 on Sunday to win the Africa Cup of Nations thanks to a goal in extra time from Pape Gueye. Gueye scored the decisive goal in the 94th minute after the match ended in a draw after regulation time.
Brahim Diaz missed a penalty for Morocco in the 24th minute of extra time. His shot was easily saved by Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Senegalese players had earlier left the game for a short time in protest at the penalty decision. His players only returned to the field after a request from captain Sadio Mane.
