APF's Anisha Tamang and Army's Bindu Chaudhary have reached the finals of the 24th National Men's Open and 18th National Women's Weight Group Full Contact Karate Championships.

In the women's under-50 kg semi-final at the Rakhep Covered Hall in Tripureshwor on Sunday, Anisha defeated KWW's Supriya Gurung and Bindu defeated APF's Nisha Sunuwar.

In the women's over-55 kg semi-final of the tournament organized by Nepal Kyokushin Karate Do Association Bajra, APF's Sumitra Nagarkoti defeated KWW's Rasila Shrestha and Army's Sapana Aidy defeated Army's Apsara Kumal to secure a place in the final.

In the men's open weight category, Sunny Sunuwar defeated IFKK's Krishna Mandal, Bhupendra Oli defeated KWW's Sukuram Tamang, Bishnu Thapa Magar defeated Army's Rabindra Lohar and Praveen Majhi defeated APF's Bhupendra Bishwakarma to secure a place in the semi-finals. All four players are from the Army.

The tournament was inaugurated by Jagat Prasad Gauchan, the founding president of the organizing association.  

About 100 players are participating in the competition, including 1 for men and 2 for women, according to Gopichand Sharma, a member of the organizing association.
