Kirat Rai Yayokka honored karate player Santosh Rai with cash on Thursday.
Santosh, who has been playing an active role as a coach and has won medals in various national and international competitions, was honored with the Kriya Mankumari Sampang Dumi Rai Memorial Sports Award and Rs 20,000.
Santosh had won gold medals in the 9th National Games in Team Kumute and the 1st NARN Karate Championship. He has won silver medals in the Heraldo International Karate in the US and the EKF EI Karate Series in the UK.
Santosh was honored by Yayokka Chairman Jeevan Hatacho Rai.
On the same occasion, Dharan Mayor Hark Sampang was honored with the Hang Yalambar Memorial Award and Rs 225,000.
