A total of 1,588 students from 42 community and private schools in Butwal Sub-metropolitan City competed in the competition.
Kalika Manavgyan Mavi has won the title of the 7th Municipal-level President's Running Shield Competition 2082 held in Butwal. Kalika won consecutive titles by winning 13 gold, 10 silver and 5 bronze medals in the final day of the competition held on Tuesday.
New Horizon English Boarding School, which participated in the competition, won 12 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals and secured the second place, while Gargi Academy won the third place by winning 6 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze medals. Deputy Mayor of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City Savitradevi Aryal, Ward Chairman Hari Prasad Shrestha, Coordinator of the Municipal Sports Development Committee Bonin Piya and others distributed prizes and medals to the winners.
In the competition, the winner Kalika Manavgyan was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 20,000, a running shield, a cup, a medal, and a certificate. The second-place winner New Horizon Mavi was awarded a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and the third-place winner Gargi Academy was awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000, a cup, a medal, and a certificate.
1,588 students from 42 community and private schools in the city competed in the competition.
