The Patan High Court has issued a short-term interim order to stop the election process of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
A bench of Patan High Court Judge Kripasur Karki has ordered that no activities related to the ANFA election scheduled for Magh 28 be carried out until another discussion and order is issued. The high court has also ordered that both parties be summoned to discuss the interim order. The high court has fixed Magh 6 for discussion of the interim order. ANFA had also made the election schedule public for the election.
‘…The interim order dated 2082.10.6 has been fixed for discussion and a notice thereof has been given to the petitioner and the opponents and a short-term interim order has been issued in the name of the opponents as per Rule 42 of the High Court Rules, 2073 BS, prohibiting them from reading the candidacy registration form as per the notice published on 2082.9.21 for that period, including the notification,’ the order reads.
