NKL, which has started a professional league in Nepali Kabaddi, has selected 180 players from the 512 registered players for the second season based on the selection of the technical team. 90 players competed on the first day of the two-day trial.

National men's team captain Ghanshyam Magar (marquee of Kathmandu Marvix and best player of the NKL first season), women's team captain Manmati Bista, NKL first season champion Janakpur Knights coach Parbati Rai and marquee Ramu Tamata, and Biratnagar Bandsit captain Kalyan Bhujel are actively participating in the player trial.
