The Nepal Army's Shree Jang Battalion Birgunj has organized a marathon race on Saturday at the historic battlefield of Parsagadhi in Parsagadhi Municipality to mark the 304th anniversary of the birth of Prithviraj. A 10-kilometer open race and a 5-kilometer separate race for boys and girls were organized.
In the 10-kilometer open race, soldier Leela Ram Wali of Shree Jung Battalion came first, and soldier duo Sarjan Raut and Pushpa Achhami of the same battalion came second and third.
In the 5-kilometer boys' race, Neeraj Chaudhary of Nepal National Secondary School, Bardewa, came first, Golu Sahni of Nepal National Secondary School, Baruwa, Chhatauli came second, and Ankesh Sahni of the same school came third.
In the 5,000-meter race for girls, Kajal Sahni of Nepal National Secondary School, Baruwa, Chhatauli came first, Nandani Kumari Patel of the same school came second, and Anju Kumari Patel of Siddhartha Secondary School, Birgunj came third.
