Khushi Ghalan from Lalitpur, Pratibha Shrestha from Chitwan, and Soya Chakradhar from Bhaktapur have won gold medals in the Bagmati Province-level Open Taekwondo League.

In the senior women's 49-53 kg final, Khushi defeated Sabina Tamang of Bhaktapur. In the 53-57 kg final, Pratibha defeated Anura Shrestha of Kathmandu and in the 57-61 kg final, Soya defeated Alina Banamali of Kavre.

In the junior men's 41-44 kg final, Kathmandu's Rahul Hang Limbu and in the women's 31-34 kg final, Kathmandu's Supriya Joshi won gold. Rahul defeated Lalit Bahadur Rana of Kathmandu and Supriya defeated Ronisha Gautam of Kathmandu.

In the junior men's 44-47 kg final, Nuwakot's Sudeep Tamang defeated Rhythm BC of Kathmandu and in the women's 34-37 kg final, Kathmandu's Jobiani Tamang won gold by defeating Saina Tamang of Kathmandu. The

competition was inaugurated by Kageshwari Manohara Municipality Mayor Upendra Karki. There are 227 players competing in the competition. There are 5-5 competitions in senior/junior men and 5-5 competitions in senior/junior women. This is the first competition of the second edition of the

league and the fifth overall. Previously, there were 4 competitions in the first edition of the league. In each edition, one competition is being held at a gap of three months over a period of one year. In the

league, the first 10 points are awarded in each weight group, 7 points for the second, and 3 points for the third. After the completion of four leagues, a motorcycle will be awarded to one outstanding male/female player based on the performance of the players.

Players from outside the valley who secure the top three places in each competition of this league will also be provided with food, accommodation, and transportation facilities in the next league. It is stated that the District Coordination Committee, Kathmandu, will manage the motorcycle prizes and player facilities.

Considering the performance, the top three players in each weight category at the end of the fourth league of the second edition will be awarded prizes of 15,000, 10,000 and 5,000 respectively.
