Genji of Nepal has made a winning start in the opening match of the second Gadhimai Premier League T/20 cricket tournament that began in Harpatgunj, Birgunj on Saturday. They defeated Tambashree Nepal by eight wickets.
Genji of Nepal won the toss and invited Tambasree to bat, and they played a full over and made a respectable total of 150 runs for the loss of eight wickets. In reply, Genji of Nepal achieved the winning target in 19.3 overs.
Anjan Yadav contributed the most with 85 runs for Genji. He was also declared the 'Man of the Match'. Earlier, Sakhuwaprasauni Rural Municipality Chairman Jaswant Yadav inaugurated the tournament. Ten teams are participating in the tournament, which will run until Magh 10.
