'Player trials' will be held from Sunday to select players for the second season of the KB Sam Nepal Kabaddi League (NKL).
The NKL player trials are scheduled to be held at the covered hall at Dasharath Stadium. The technical team of NKL organizer Astronics Management has selected 180 players from the 512 players registered for the second season and will participate in the two-day player trials.
The players who perform best in the player trials will be selected in the NKL draft. And, through the draft, 6 teams will prepare a team to compete in the NKL second season.
The technical team prepared by NKL in collaboration with the Nepal Kabaddi Association (NKA) will select players for the draft through the player trials, said Amit Kumar Begani, head of Astronics Management.
The first edition of KB Sam NKL was organized last year by the Begani Group with the approval of the Nepal Kabaddi Association. It has entered into a 10-year agreement with the association and is operating the NKL on the concept of a franchise team. It is said that preparations for the second season have been accelerated.
