Swapnil Bhattarai and Soham Agarwal are tied for the overall lead on the second day of the Faldo Junior Golf Tour Nepal Championship. They finished 36 holes with a combined score of 6-over 142. Prakrit Tamang finished third with a score of 9-over 145.

Swapnil maintained his three-stroke lead for the second consecutive day in the Boys 17-21 age group at the Royal Nepal Golf Club. On Thursday, he shot 3-over 71 to edge out Prakrit Tamang by three strokes.

Swapnil saved one shot each on the fourth and seventh holes. But bogeys on the second, third, fifth and ninth holes left him with a 2-over 36 on the front nine. He then faced a bogey on the 11th hole and a triple bogey on the 13th hole. Birdies on the 10th, 14th and 18th holes left him with a 1-over 35 on the back nine.

Prakrit shot a 3-over 71 on the day to remain in second place with an overall score of 9-over 145. He finished with a 2-over 36 on the front nine and a 1-over 35 on the back nine. Satyajot Rana and Siddhant Sapkota tied for third place with an overall score of 19-over 155. Both finished today with an 8-over 76. In the boys' 11-16 age group, Soham edged out day one leader Ruben Thapa by nine strokes. On Thursday, Soham shot an even-par 68 to move to the top with an overall score of 6-over 142. Soham got off to a great start with a birdie on the first hole and an eagle on the fourth hole. He then made bogeys on the sixth and seventh holes and a double bogey on the eighth hole to finish the front nine at 1-over 35. He then birdied the 10th and 14th holes before missing a shot on the 15th hole. He played the back nine at 1-under 33.

Day one leader Ruben shot a 10-over 78 in the day's play to drop to second place with a 15-over 151 overall. He finished the front nine at 6-over 40 and the back nine at 4-over 38. Daniel Baniya shot a 20-over 88 to move into third place with a 29-over 165 overall.

Nepal's Avani Rai and Britain's Emily Lowe Gladys are tied for the top spot with a 31-over 167 overall. Emily shot a 19-over 87 today and Avani shot a 22-over 90. Yashvi Shrestha is third with a 180 overall.

The final 18-hole match will be played on Friday, where 11 players will compete in both the boys' and girls' events and 3 players will compete in the women's. The winners of the three categories of the tournament organized by the Nepal Golf Association will qualify for the Faldo Series Asia Grand Finals to be held in Vietnam in March.
