Defending champions Ivory Coast comfortably defeated Burkina Faso 3-0 on Tuesday to advance to the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations.

With this result, the last eight of the competition is complete. In that, Amad Diallo, Yann Diamande and Blaty Toure scored.

Algeria had previously defeated DR Congo 1-0. Boulabina scored the only decisive goal in that match, which went into extra time.

Ivory Coast will now face Egypt. In other matches, Mali will face Senegal, Cameroon will face Morocco and Algeria will face Nigeria. Now the quarter-final matches will begin on Thursday.
