Volleyball player Himal Sunari won the 'People's Choice Award' at the NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards 2081 on Wednesday. He received 40.1 percent of the total votes.

The players nominated for the award were Usu's Vijay Sinjali, table tennis player Ivana Thapagammar, cricket player Pooja Mahato, and football player Rekha Poudel.

Himal is an influential and famous player from the Gandaki region. He was the main player of the team when Gandaki won the Chief Minister's Cup National Men's Volleyball title. Similarly, he was declared the best server in the third edition of the Tiger Cup.
