Nepal will play in the Women's Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers under the captaincy of Indu

Nepal, led by Indu Burma, announced a 15-member squad on Sunday for the Women's Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers.

The Women's Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers are being held in Kathmandu from January 14 to February 3. This is the biggest tournament that Nepal is hosting so far.

The Nepal team, which will be captained by Indu, includes Pooja Mahato (vice-captain), Rubina Chhetri, Sita Rana Magar, Bindu Rawal, Samjhana Khadka, Kajal Shrestha, Kabita Joshi, Kabita Kunwar, Rachana Chaudhary, Riya Sharma, Roma Thapa, Suman Bista, Rajmati Airi and Manisha Upadhyay.

The 20-member team has been reduced to 15 members in the final. Ishwori Bista, Soni Pakhrin, Laxmi Saud, Ruby Podar, Sana Prabin from the previous team could not make it to Nepal's final team.

Nepal will play practice matches against Ireland in Tallo Mulpani on January 14 and against the United States in Kirtipur on January 16. Nepal, which is in Group 'B', will then play Thailand on January 18, Netherlands on January 22, Zimbabwe on January 24 and Scotland on January 26.

Group 'A' consists of Bangladesh, Ireland, Namibia, Papua New Guinea and the United States. The matches of the tournament will be held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur and the lower ground of Mulpani. The top 3 teams from both groups will advance to the Super Six.
