Then the second edition was held in Pokhara in 2040 BS. Even now, the history of national games should be divided, there are many who remember the competition held in Pokhara more than four decades ago with joy and pride. The ninth National Games were held in Pokhara again in 2079 BS.
So, the original organizer of this national competition was the National Sports Council, but Pokhara was its main base. In that sense, Pokhara is the center of Nepali sports. In the language of sports, it is a 'sports hub'. Pokhara has huge physical structures. Such structures are not found anywhere else. There are even situations where some games can only be held in Pokhara. Such as some adventure games. The names that come to the forefront are paragliding and triathlon.
Pokhara has also produced some very famous athletes. They have performed highly in national and international competitions. If we were to make a list of such athletes, it would definitely be long. These are some of the reasons that further strengthen the belief that it is right to hold this time's sports awards in Pokhara. As the name suggests, the organizer of the award program, which has been the main sponsor of Pulsar, is the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum. In short, NSJF.
The biggest responsibility of the forum, the umbrella organization of Nepali sports journalists, is to organize this award program. The forum believes that this award program should no longer be limited to Kathmandu.
The forum argues that once this award program reaches the mofussils, it will on the one hand increase the importance of Nepali sports in an unknown way. On the other hand, the common athlete will also know the importance of being a star. Among those who have won this award so far, there is a similarity in the statements of all of them. This is the experience of being a star. When the award program is held in the mofasal, the players of that area will feel stardom. For this, they will be inspired to perform excellently.
Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya is one of the people who plays an important role in holding this time's award program in Pokhara. He himself is a person who loves Nepali sports.
