International taekwondo referee and athlete Dipendra Dhakal has been honored in the sports category with the 'National Heritage Best Athlete Award 2082' by the National Heritage Conservation Foundation Nepal.

At a program organized at the Tourism Board Hall, Minister for Information and Communications Jagdish Kharel and former FNCCI President Bhawani Rana honored Referee Dhakal.

Dipendra Dhakal was honored for his significant role in spreading the name of Nepali Taekwondo worldwide as an international referee and player. The organization believes that he has increased the recognition of Nepali sports at the international level and has attracted and encouraged the younger generation towards sports.

The National Heritage Conservation Foundation Nepal, which started the National Dress Day and International Topi Day campaign in 2070 BS with the aim of recognizing and promoting Nepal's national formal dress, honored personalities from various fields.
