Rahul defended his title by beating professional golfer Jayaram Shrestha by a wide margin of 14 strokes. Rahul, who scored 4-under 68 on Thursday, won the title with an overall score of 14-under 274. This is the first tournament of the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2025-26.
Jayaram finished second overall with an even par of 288 after a poor performance of 5-over 77 on Thursday. Jayaram, who came first in the pro category, received a prize of Rs 1,70,000.
Toran Bikram Shahi and Bhuvan Nagarkoti secured joint third place with an overall score of 2-over 290. Toran finished the fourth day with an even par of 72 and Bhuvan with an 4-under 68. They received a prize of Rs 1,12,500.
Nepal number one pro Neeraj Tamang finished fifth overall with an overall score of 3-over 291. He finished at 3-under 69. He received Rs 82,000. Bhuvan Kumar Rokka, Shukra Bahadur Rai, Dinesh Prajapati and amateur Ruben Thapa finished in joint sixth place with an overall score of 4 over 292. Jayaram made two consecutive birdies on the first and second holes to finish the front nine at an even par of 36. But he missed shots on the third and seventh holes. After this, he played a forgettable back nine. He made a total of 5 bogeys, including three consecutive bogeys on the 10th and 12th and 14th to 16th. In this poor performance, the back nine ended at 5-over 41.
