Departmental teams Tribhuvan Army Club and Nepal Police Club, along with Rukum West and Help Nepal, reached the men's semifinals of the 9th NVA Volleyball Championship on Thursday.

In the final and fourth quarterfinal of the day held at the Rakhep Covered Hall in Tripureshwor, Army advanced by defeating Khilji Youth Club in straight sets of 25-18, 25-17, 25-15. 

Army will now meet Rukum West Volleyball Training Center in the semifinals. Rukum shocked the departmental team APF Club. Although Rukum lost the first set, it won three consecutive sets to advance to the semifinals. Rukum defeated APF 22-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-20.

Earlier, Help Nepal Sports Club and Nepal Police Club had won in the quarterfinals. These two teams will face each other in the semifinals. Help Nepal defeated Budhanilkantha Volleyball Club in straight sets of 25-13, 25-13, 25-18. Police also defeated Koshi Pradesh Volleyball Association in straight sets. Police won the set 25-19, 25-17, 25-18. 

In the women's category, Tiptop New Diamond and Nepal APF Club, and Nepal Police Club and Tribhuvan Army Club will compete in the semifinals on Friday.
