New Diamond Sports Club and Nepal Police Club have reached the women's finals of the NVA Volleyball Championship.

In the semi-finals held at the Rakhep Covered Hall on Friday, New Diamond defeated Nepal APF Club and Police defeated Tribhuvan Army Club to secure the title.

New Diamond defeated APF 3-0. New Diamond won the first set 25-17. APF failed to make a comeback in the second set, so New Diamond won 25-20. New Diamond, who had the presence of Pratibha Mali from Australia, won the one-sided third set 25-7. New Diamond reached the semi-finals as the winners of Group 'A'.

In the second semi-final, Police defeated Army 3-1. Police won the first set 25-12. But amidst tight competition, Army won the second set 31-29 to tie the game. Police won the third set 25-14 and the fourth set 25-18 to their advantage. Police reached the semi-finals as the winners of Group 'B'. Police, who are also the winners of the NVA League, also won the Kava Club Championship.

Help Nepal Sports Club and Tribhuvan Army Club will compete in the final on the men's side. Help Nepal defeated Police Club first and Army defeated Rukum West Volleyball Training Center to set up the title clash.

Police was deprived of victory after losing composure in the first set. The team could not maintain a 13-10 lead and eventually handed the first set to Help Nepal 21-25. Police, who could not maintain their initial lead in the second set as well, were trailing 16-12 at one point. Then, Help Nepal defeated all its comeback attempts and won 25-23. In the exciting third set, both teams tried to make as few mistakes as possible and win the set. Help Nepal won 25-22 in the set, with scores of 10-11 and 19-19. Police made two consecutive mistakes in the finals, which led to the team's defeat. Help Nepal had defeated Budhanilkantha Sports Club in the quarterfinals.

Army reached the final by defeating Rukum West in 5 sets in the second semifinal. In a very competitive match, Rukum West could not maintain its lead from a 2-1 lead and lost the match. Rukum West, which had three Pakistani players, lost the first set 20-25. But it won the second set 25-23 to level the match.

Rukum West, which put Army under pressure by winning the third set with a wide margin of 25-15, lost the fourth set 24-26. Army came back in the fourth set to win the decisive set 15-12 to make it to the finals. Army had defeated Khilji Youth Club in the quarterfinals.
