Falelung emerged as the winner of the Teacher Friendly Open Volleyball Tournament, defeating the rival Miklajung Rural Municipality teachers' team in 2 out of 3 sets.
Falelung Rural Municipality has won the title of the Teacher-Friendly District Level Open Volleyball Tournament organized in Phidim, Panchthar.
Falelung won the teacher-friendly open volleyball tournament by defeating the rival Miklajung rural municipality team in 2 out of 3 sets.
Falelung received a cash prize of Rs 30,000 along with a certificate, while Miklajung secured the second place with a cash prize of Rs 20,000 along with a certificate.
The competition organized by the Nepal National Teachers Organization District Committee Panchthar was attended by teacher-affiliated volleyball teams from all eight local levels of the district.
The competition, inaugurated by the organization's Koshi Province President Mahendra Gautam as the chief guest, distributed prizes and certificates to the winning and runner-up teams and players. The organization's Koshi Province Accounts Committee Coordinator Balkrishna Luintel, District President Khagendra Raj Subedi, Former President Maksemahang Nembang, Ward President of Phidim Municipality Ward No. 1 Gajadhar Bhattarai, and sponsors Surya Magar, Chandra Kafle and Gopal Luintel distributed prizes and certificates to the winning and runner-up teams and players.
In the inaugural session of the competition, district-based political party leaders, teachers' associations and federation officials delivered congratulatory speeches.
Since volleyball competitions are rarely held in the district, the competition was organized to highlight the sports talent of teachers and send a message for professional unity, said Khagendra Raj Subedi, the district president of the Nepal National Teachers' Organization.
