Defending champion amateur golfer Rahul Bishwakarma maintained his lead for the second consecutive day at the Surya Nepal Central Open. Rahul shot a 5-under 67 at the Gokarna Golf Club on Tuesday.

With an overall score of 11-under 133, Rahul has edged out professional golfer Bhuvan Kumar Rokka by 7 strokes. Bhuvan moved up to second place with an overall score of 4-under 140. He shot a 5-under 67 on Tuesday. Jayaram Shrestha, who played an even-par 72, slipped to third place with an overall score of 1-under 143.

Bhuvan Nagarkoti, who shot an overall score of 1-over 145, moved up to fourth place. He finished the day's play with an even-par 72. Nepal number one Pro Neeraj Tamang (69), Shukra Bahadur Rai (71), Dinesh Prajapati (73) and amateur Ruben Thapa (70) are tied for fifth place with an overall score of 2-over 146. Ravi Khadka (71), Pradeep Kumar Lama (75) and amateur Phunso Norbu Lama (75) finished in joint eighth place with a score of 4 over 148.

Rahul, who is in the hunt for the title, played 3-under 33 on the front nine. He birdied the second, third, fifth, seventh and ninth holes and bogeyed the fourth and sixth holes. He then saved shots on the 10th, 11th, 13th and 14th holes. But he made two consecutive bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes. This led to his back nine finishing at 2-under 34.

Bhuvan played the front nine at 2-under 34 to make a score of 5 under. He made four birdies on the first, third, fifth and eighth holes. He birdied the 12th, 16th and 18th holes while playing a bogey-free back nine. He finished the back nine at 3-under 33. Jayaram completed the front nine at 1-under 35 and the back nine at 1-over 37. He made three consecutive birdies from the third to the fifth holes. But he suffered a double bogey on the eighth hole.

18 professionals and 6 amateurs, who scored 11 over 155, made the cut, making 24 players. On the pro side, Surya Prasad Sharma, Toran Bikram Shahi, Deepak Magar, Kishan Kaliraj Sunar, Dhan Bahadur Thapa, Tanka Bahadur Karki, Kumar Kami, Ramesh Adhikari and Rame Magar made the cut.

On the amateur side, Sam Doblard, Tasi Tshiring and Balram Poudel also made the cut. Despite scoring 11 over 155, amateurs Wangchen Dhondup, Bhimsen Chaulagain, Sanjay Lama and Sabin Sapkota failed to make the cut in the countback.
