Second Power Taekwondo to be held on Saturday

The All Nepal Sports Foundation, in collaboration with the Nepal Taekwondo Association, is planning to hold the second Power Taekwondo Championship on December 19.

The organizers have stated that all preparations for the championship to be held at Amrela Events in Kalanki on Saturday have been completed. The championship was organized to contribute to the career development of the players and to establish friendship and brotherhood among the players, said Norbu Lama, secretary of the organizing committee.

The competition will be held in 2 weight groups. 8 men and 8 women will compete in it. The men's team includes Sumit Bista, Sujan Gurung, Harish Bohara, Rumin Raut, Allen Ale, Abhishek Dallakoti, Abtab Alam and Ambika Ghimire. The women's team will compete between Aarti Shahi, Isha Mahato, Raksha Dhimal, Geeta Kathayat, Januka Bik, Kanchan Khadka, Veena Nath and Pasang Lama.

They are gold medalists of the 13th Korean Ambassador Taekwondo Championship. Sanjeev Kumar Ojha, Surendra Shahi, Lal Bahadur Baramu and Bir Bahadur Mahara will play the role of coaches in the championship.   Secretary Lama said that the first placer in the competition will receive a prize of Rs 50,000, the second placer Rs 30,000, and the third placer Rs 15,000.
