'A' Division League champion Church Boys United and host Triveni Youth Club have entered the quarterfinals of the 33rd edition of the Triveni Cup football tournament underway in Besisahar, Lamjung.
Church Boys United defeated Buddha Youth Club 5-3 in a tiebreaker in the match held at the Sahaji Sports Ground on Wednesday, securing a place in the last eight. The result was decided by a tiebreaker after the scheduled 90-minute match ended in a goalless draw.
Church Boys' Vivek Rai, foreign players Abdul Furuni, Sudip Magar, Manoj Rai and Sanjog Khapangi Magar scored goals. Buddha's Ram Thapa Magar, Seemant Thapa and Shishas Thapa scored goals. Laxhu Thapa Magar missed the goal. Church Boys' goalkeeper Rembo Chaudhary was named Man of the Match in this match.
