Panchkhapan Municipality has won the title of the inter-municipal volleyball tournament held at Sekaha in Khandbari-4.
In the final match held on Tuesday, Panchkhapan defeated Shadananda Municipality of Bhojpur in straight sets and won the title. In the match, Panchkhapan put pressure on Shadananda with a clear score of 25-22, 25-17 and 25-20 and captured the title. The coordination, aggressive play and defense of Panchkhapan players throughout the match were decisive.
Khandbari Municipality and the host Sekaha Club were limited to the semi-final stage in the competition. The winner and runner-up teams were jointly awarded by Koshi Province Social Development Minister Panchkarna Rai and former Tourism Minister of the Sikkim government Garjaman Gurung.
Panchkhapan Municipality received one lakh rupees in cash along with the title in the competition organized by Sekaha Community Development Club on the occasion of the Sekaha Festival. The runner-up Shadananda Municipality has paid a cash prize of 50 thousand rupees. Khandbari Municipality and Sekaha Club, which reached the semi-finals, have each received 20 thousand rupees in cash, medals and certificates.
