Kalika Rural Municipality of Rasuwa honored ultra/trail runner Dawa Tamang on Monday.

Dawa was honored for being selected for the UTMB World Championship from the Kosciuszko 100 Ultra/Trail Kosciuszko (UTMB) held in Australia last November.

Dawa completed the 100-kilometer distance in 14 hours, 9 minutes, 25 seconds and was selected. Dawa is also the ward chairman of Kalika Rural Municipality-1.

‘We highly respect your contribution to the sports sector and express our gratitude for enhancing the prestige of the rural municipality and the country. We also hope for a bright future in the coming days and expect more activity and support in the sports sector,’ the letter of honor given to Dawa is written in the letter of honor.

Dawa has been active in his business and sports sector for 20 years. Dawa, a silver winner of the World Extreme Fistel 100 Ultra, was sponsored by Xtape Nepal for his visit to Australia.
