In the women's singles qualifying round, Abhilasha defeated American Prisca Vaas in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 to enter the main draw, the Nepal Tennis Association has said.
According to association secretary Ajay Bista, the tournament, which began in Nairobi, Kenya on December 28, will run until January 3. The total prize money of the tournament is 25,000 US dollars.
