Phidim Secondary School has won the 7th President's Running Shield. This is the fourth consecutive time that the school has won the 7th President's Running Shield at the municipal level.
In the competition held in 52 categories, Phidim Secondary School alone won 33 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze medals.
Similarly, Ranitar Secondary School came second by winning 10 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze medals. Siddhadevi Secondary School, Nangin came third by winning 9 gold, 12 silver and 6 bronze medals.
Phidim Secondary School had previously won the fourth, fifth and sixth editions. Phidim Secondary School, which has won the shield for three consecutive years, has also received a cash incentive of Rs 300,000 from Phidim Municipality. Similarly, this year, the municipality received an additional incentive of Rs 30,000 for becoming the winner, while Ranitar, which came second, received Rs 20,000 and Siddhadevi Secondary School, Nangin, which came third, received Rs 10,000.
The winners, runners-up, school teachers and players of the Running Shield were presented with shields, awards and certificates by Phidim Municipality Mayor Mitra Prasad Kafle, Deputy Mayor Radhakrishna Neupane, Education and Sports Branch Chief Nirmala Dahal and others from the chief guest's seat.
